Engineering Project Manager

We are at a pivotal stage in our evolution, developing new technologies to monitor and actively reduce harmful gas emissions as well as pioneering work in the measurement of hitherto difficult gas compositions, creating new products suitable for low-carbon and other applications in the green economy.

We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the engineering team in delivering several key projects, ensuring adequate resource and risk management.

Range of Duties:

• Project Planning:
  Develop detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
  Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Execution and Monitoring:
  Lead project teams in executing project plans and monitor progress against established milestones.
  Identify and resolve issues to ensure project goals are achieved.

• Stakeholder Communication:
  Maintain clear and regular communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  Provide updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.

• Resource Management:
  Allocate resources efficiently to meet project objectives.
  Work with the Engineering Manager to ensure the availability of necessary resources.
• Risk Management:
  Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
  Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or budgets.
• Quality Assurance:
  Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet established standards.
  Conduct regular project reviews to assess and improve project performance.
• Budget Management:
  Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
  Track project costs and report variances to stakeholders.

• Team Leadership:
  Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet established standards.
  Conduct regular project reviews to assess and improve project performance.
• Documentation:
  Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, financial overviews, and meeting minutes.
  Ensure documentation complies with organizational standards.

• Travel:
  Travel to other Fluenta sites and external design houses/suppliers will be required.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in a fast-moving SME product development environment, with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present and summarize information to all levels in the organization, including the board level.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience in outsourcing technical projects, both hardware and software and managing these to deliver on time and on budget.
• Experience in hazardous areas (Ex) product development would be an advantage.
