Case Studies – Weathering the Cold

Challenge:

Some clients are located in extremely cold regions or have cryogenic process conditions which make accurate measurement very difficult as both of these put significant stress on the meters.

Solution

When one such customer approached Fluenta, we, in line with our identity of being a solutions provider, decided to tackle this problem by going back to the drawing board and developing a new range of ultrasonic transducers which was able to perform in cryogenic conditions. The new range of FlarePhase Transducers expands Fluenta’s capabilities by enabling continuous accurate measurements in cryogenic process conditions without the need for pipe insulation or heat tracing.

Results:

The performance of our new FlarePhase transducers has been great, on sites were even regular atmospheric conditions put additional stress into the equipment and the electronics. We can now provide measurements to the client in conditions which were previously considered impossible.
