TFS-HT
(TFS-HT is now discontinued) What really sets the TFS-HT apart is its ability to handle higher temperatures due to the additional heat-shielding available.
Higher Accuracy at Higher Temperatures
Measuring high temperature flaring
Just like the other transducers in the TFS range, the TFS-HT also features dual ultrasound measurement modes with one of them being the advanced “chirp” signal processing mode in which time varying signals are used, to ensure that the high measurement accuracy is maintained over a wide range of flow velocities.
The TFS-HT is part of Fluenta’s entry level range of ultrasonic transducers. It has been designed and optimized to carry out flow measurement at higher temperatures than the other transducers in the TFS series are capable of, while still maintaining the high accuracy levels which Fluenta is known for.
Working on the same time-of-flight operating principle as the other sensors, the TFS-HT achieves this by incorporating additional heat shielding in their construction which allows them to measure at temperatures up to +200°C. This makes them ideal for use in cases with temperatures higher than +145°C, where the use of other TFS transducers is unsuitable.
Applications
Refineries and Petro-Chemical Plants
Being capable of accurate flow measurement at higher temperatures, the TFS-HT is ideal for flare measurements in the refining and petro-chemical processing industries.
Onshore and Offshore Installations
Having an operating temperature range of -110 to +200°C makes the TFS-HT suitable for most flaring applications, both in onshore and offshore installations, especially those where temperature higher than +145°C are present.
Features and Highlights
The TFS-HT (High Temperature) lives up to its name and offers an operating temperature range with a higher ceiling at +200°C as opposed to +145°C that the other transducers in the TFS range offer.
The TFS-55, in both Lateral-45 and Bias-90 installations, can be installed in either a single path or a dual path configuration. The dual path can be configured to either provide heightened security in terms of redundancy, when data continuity is of utmost importance or a more accurate measurement as with a dual path accuracy as high as ±1% can be achieved.
To achieve accurate readings, the TFS-HT only requires 15 pipe diameters worth of straight piping (10 diameters upstream and 5 diameters downstream)
